THE CHALLENGE

WHY Traditional COMMUNICATION FAILS ON THE MOUNTAIN

LTE DEAD ZONES

Deep backcountry often has zero cell service, rendering phone apps useless.

ANALOG LIMITS

Traditional walkie-talkies lose signal once you drop behind a ridge line.

BATTERY DRAIN

Cold weather kills phone batteries in hours. You need reliable power.

ONE DEVICETWO WAYS TO STAY CONNECTED ON THE MOUNTAIN
The POC-1 Ultra is the only radio that bridges the gap. Use LTE to talk miles away, and switch to Analog for instant connection.
LTE + Analog. Double Signal Safety.

Dedicated buttons for PoC (LTE) and Analog. No digging through menus.

License-Free

Analog mode uses standard FRS frequencies. Compatible with old radios.

Cold Resistant

3000mAh battery rated for -20°C. Stays powered all day on the slopes.

Glove-Ready Controls

Oversized PTT and volume buttons designed for thick mittens. Precise blind operation without freezing hands.

Secure Attachments

The protective case guards the radio from bumps and cold, while the carabiner keeps it securely attached to your pack on rough terrain.

HYBRID MODE ACTIVE
"Cell service died at the summit, but we switched to Analog and stayed connected seamlessly."

ZERO-DROP SYSTEM

Equipped with a heavy-duty ultralight carabiner. Locks firmly to your harness or pack, ensuring your gear stays with you in any terrain.

GLOVE-READY CONTROL

Streamlined for harsh conditions. The tactile buttons and simple layout allow for instant, error-free operation—even while wearing thick gloves.

SUB-ZERO ENDURANCE

Engineered to defy the cold. The high-performance battery guarantees 3–5 days of runtime and remains reliable even at -20°F.

COMMUNITY

SKIER APPROVED

Finally, a radio that solves the 'ridge line' problem. LTE fills the gaps where analog fails. Game changer.

The dual PTT is genius. I can talk to my kids on FRS and my wife at the lodge on LTE without changing settings.

Battery life is legit. 8 hours in freezing temps and still had 40% left. The IPX4 rating held up to heavy snow.

SKIER FAQ

What's the range?

Poclink has two primary models:

  • POC-1 Lite (LTE Global Walkie Talkie)
  • POC-1 Ultra (Global Coverage & Off Grid Dual Mode Walkie Talkie)

Both POC-1 and POC-1 Ultra offer unlimited range under LTE mode, and POC-1 Ultra also supports off-grid mode!

We use encrypted network protocols to provide nationwide and even global communication. With no lag or delay - thousands of miles - crystal clear!

Do I need a radio license to operate?

No - Never! You won’t need a license to use our radio. However, using other traditional analog walkie-talkies do need a license; using one without it can lead to fines and legal risks.

Are there any monthly fees?

Every POC-1 Ultra includes 3 Years of FREE SIM service on our Standard Global Plan, working in 80+ countries. While other brands charge $100+ per year for single region plans. Upgrade to Lifetime SIM Coverage(Standard Global Plan only) at purchase for just $49 one-time per radio, no monthly/annual fees ever. Or enjoy the included 3 years free, then renew for $29 per year after 36 months.
(Note: Please Keep Your Order ID/Receipt to verify your eligibility for these exclusive renewal rates.)

How does it work?

Step 1: Power it on.

Step 2: Hold the Volume + button to create and share a group. On another radio, hold Volume – to search and join that group.

Step 3: Start talking — instantly.

That’s it. No app required.

If you want to explore more advanced features — such as renaming groups or devices, or viewing GPS locations (available on Ultra models) — you can use the Poclink App.

What’s a Public Group?

Public Groups are open community channels where Poclink users can talk and connect with others nationwide or globally.

Each group has its own theme — for example, Nationwide LoungeOutdoor Hub, or HAM Hub — allowing you to meet people who share similar interests.

You can join a Public Group directly from your radio by entering the Group Code, or by scanning the QR code in the Poclink App.

No invitation is needed — just join, talk, and connect with the Poclink community anywhere in the world.

Can POC-1 Lite and Ultra talk to each other?

Yes, they can!

As long as both radios are connected to the internet and join the same group, they can communicate with each other instantly — no distance limit, no pairing required.

How long does the battery last in cold weather?

Our radios perform very well in cold weather. We’ve tested them on ski slopes at around minus four Fahrenheit, and they stayed stable for the entire day with no issues.

Using the protective case also adds an extra layer of insulation, which helps maintain battery performance in low temperatures.

Is it easy to operate while wearing gloves and helmet?

Yes, it’s very easy to operate even while wearing gloves and a helmet. The buttons are large with a firm click feel, so you can press the PTT and switch functions without removing any gear. Many of our ski-test users operate the radio with thick winter gloves and have no issues.

The radio is also compact and very lightweight. With the protective case and metal hook, you can clip it directly onto your jacket or backpack. The overall size and weight are similar to a typical hand mic, so it never feels bulky.

How far can the radios communicate on the mountain?

In PoC mode, as long as the resort has cellular coverage, the range is basically unlimited. You can talk anywhere across the entire mountain, and even stay connected if you get separated from your group, leave the resort, or travel to another state or country.

In analog mode, the radio uses the maximum power allowed without a license. In clear line-of-sight you can reach over 30 miles, but in mountain terrain, 1 to 5 miles is typical.

Is the Poclink Radio waterproof?

The Poclink Radio is snow-resistant, so it works normally in snowy conditions on the mountain. However, it’s not designed to be fully waterproof or submerged in water.

We recommend brushing off any snow so it doesn’t melt on the device when you go back indoors. This helps prevent moisture from entering the buttons or ports.
